Little Pine · 3–6 tahunn Little Builders, children become young engineers as they explore how to build structures that are strong, balanced and stable. Children will experiment with different building materials, create towers and test what happens when their structures become too tall or unbalanced. Instead of simply being shown how to build, they will be encouraged to observe why something falls and think about how they can improve it. For their building challenge, children will use what they have discovered to design and build a shelter for a toy animal. Through building, testing and trying again, children experience an important part of STEM learning: discovering that when something doesn't work the first time, we can change our design and try a new solution.
